Tooth-Colored Fillings in Roy, Utah

A cavity doesn't have to mean a mouth full of metal. We use tooth-colored composite fillings that blend right in and hold up to everyday life.

Why Composite Fillings

Older silver (amalgam) fillings darken over time and stand out every time you smile or laugh. Our composite fillings are shaded to match your natural tooth color, so once they're placed, most people can't tell they're there. They also bond directly to the tooth, which means less of the healthy tooth structure has to be removed to place them.

What to Expect

  • Numbing first. We make sure the area is fully numb before we start — you shouldn't feel the procedure itself.
  • Gentle removal of decay. Only the damaged part of the tooth is removed before the filling is placed.
  • One visit. Most fillings are completed start to finish in a single appointment.
  • A natural-looking result. The filling is shaped and polished to match the rest of your tooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I have a cavity?

Cavities don't always cause pain in the early stages, which is exactly why regular exams matter. Sensitivity to sweets, hot, or cold, or a visible dark spot on a tooth, are common signs worth having checked.

Does getting a filling hurt?

The area is fully numbed before we begin, so the procedure itself is generally painless. Some mild sensitivity for a day or two afterward is normal.

How long do composite fillings last?

With good oral hygiene, composite fillings commonly last 7–10 years or longer. We check them at your regular exams to make sure they're holding up well.

Are fillings discounted under the Membership Plan?

Yes. Membership Plan patients receive 20% off fillings, along with other restorative treatments.
